Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at South University prepares graduates to work in a wide variety of healthcare settings including acute care hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, home health, community-based clinics, and school health clinics. The program also gives you the opportunity to:

Nursing RN to BSN Degree Completion

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree Completion program at South University’s Tampa campus in Tampa, Florida, is designed to provide professional knowledge and skills to the licensed registered nurse, to support educational mobility and to strengthen community health and leadership abilities of nurses who already have a foundation in the profession, particularly those in rural communities. These educational experiences are designed to prepare professional nurses for practice today and well into the 21st Century.

Graduates of the South University Bachelor of Science in Nursing Completion program meet the same outcome objectives whether in the on-ground Bachelor of Science in Nursing program or the online Bachelor of Science in Nursing Completion program. Both programs are derived from the same philosophy and reflect core competencies as stated in the Essentials of Baccalaureate Nursing Practice by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN).

Forty-five quarter hours of nursing credit will be accepted based upon graduation from a regionally accredited school of nursing and possession of a valid, unencumbered nursing license in the state in which they reside. Students will need a valid, unencumbered license from the state(s) in which they complete any clinical assignments.
